Troubleshooting > How do I change an Employment ID?
SimplePay automatically sets the employment ID for all manually added employees. If employee details are imported in bulk, the system will use the employment ID created by ROS.
In the event that the employee has registered with ROS and already has an employment ID, the number on ROS must match the number on the system.
If you need to make changes to an employment ID:
- Go to Employees > Bulk Actions > Update tax details and enter the correct employment ID in the Override Employment ID field.
- Change the employment ID on the system to match the one on the RPN by going to Employees > Bulk Actions > Update RPNs.
- Enter the correct Employment ID under Override Employment ID
- Then click Create/Update.
Note that an existing Employment ID can be found under the read-only Employment ID field.
