Self-Service Claims Now Available By Default
We’re excited to announce that our Employee Self-Service (ESS) claims feature is now available to everyone! It allows employees to submit their own expense claims, using their Self-Service profile. You can read more about Self-Service on our help page here.
Typically, administrators bear the burden of manually processing and verifying each expense claim, a time-consuming task that often leads to bottlenecks in the payroll cycle. With ESS claims, employees can take charge of their own expense submissions, freeing up valuable time for administrators to focus on more strategic aspects of their roles.
Our ESS claims come with the ability to upload supporting documentation, making it easy to keep track of paperwork. Another key aspect of our ESS claims is the streamlined approval function. Once employees have submitted their claims, the chosen approval workflow ensures that the right personnel review and authorise expenses. This not only eliminates unnecessary delays but also provides a structured and traceable process for accountability purposes.
This feature is not brand new, but it was previously necessary to have it enabled for your profile by a Support team member. We took this approach to allow us to test the feature and receive feedback from customers on how we could improve ESS claims.
Since the initial testing phase for this feature is complete, we’ve decided to roll it out to our entire customer base. The ESS claims feature is available on our Settings page, where customers can activate it themselves. You would need to navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > General > Enable Claims in Self-Service (Beta). For more information about the feature, please take a look at our help page here.
As feedback is a vital part of customer satisfaction, we would love to know what you think of this feature. Please don’t hesitate to send any suggestions or concerns about our ESS claims to hello@simplepay.cloud.
